Basic Principle of High Voltage Soft Starter
The basic principle of high-voltage soft starter is the same as that of low-voltage soft starter. However, compared with low-voltage soft starter, high-voltage soft starter has its particularities in some places.
1. High-voltage solid-state soft-start cabinet works under high-voltage environment, the insulation performance of various electrical components must be good, and the anti-interference ability of electronic chips should be strong. When high-voltage soft starter cabinet is composed of electric cabinet, the layout of electrical components and the connection between high-voltage soft starter and other electrical equipment are also very important.
2. High-pressure solid-state soft-start cabinet must have a high-performance control core, which can process signals timely and quickly. Therefore, this control core generally uses high-performance DSP chip, rather than low-voltage soft starter of the ordinary single chip processor core. The main circuit of low-voltage soft starter consists of three groups of anti-parallel thyristors. In the high-voltage soft starter, because the current single high-voltage thyristor has insufficient voltage withstanding capacity, it must be divided by several high-voltage thyristors in series. But the performance parameters of each thyristor are not exactly the same. The inconsistency of thyristor parameters will lead to the inconsistency of thyristor opening time, which will lead to the damage of thyristor. Therefore, in the selection of thyristors, it is necessary to ensure that the parameters of each phase of thyristors are as consistent as possible, and the parameters of RC filter circuit components of each phase of thyristors are as consistent as possible. One of the difficulties of high-voltage solid-state soft start cabinet is the triggering of thyristor. Since there are many thyristors in the main circuit, each thyristor needs a trigger board to trigger.
